How to setup WachMe from an Android smartphone ?
WachMe needs to be programmed from an Android phone using WachMeController app . After setup wearer needs to only carry WachMe either on waist or wrist. WachMe already has a SIM card which it uses for network connectivity.
How does WachMe determine its location ?
Traditionally location is determined by a combination of information from Satellite(GPS), Cellular and Wifi signals and WachMe also uses that. In addition to this Wachme has a very unique feature called “Nearby Wifi” where it gives the name and strength of Wifi networks around WachMe. This helps to identify the location when traditional location is not useful
Does WachMe require constant internet connection to work ?
WachMe does not store user data on the cloud and it does not use any cloud service regularly. It has 512 MB RAM and does all data processing onboard. It needs internet connection only if satellite signal is absent and it needs to get location from cellular towers. In emergency mode it needs internet connection to upload location history and captured images.
Does WachMe have a SIM card ?
Yes WachMe needs a GSM-SIM card and it needs a working cellular plan(prepaid or postpaid) to work. WachMe will inform if it runs out of balance or validity.
What information does WachMe capture during emergency and for how long ?
It captures images every minute and uploads them along with location to the cloud. It also calls the emergency numbers till anyone is picked up and call duration is at least 1 minute (including ringing time), it also records the call. Image capture goes on till emergency is cleared from the WachMeController or the device discharges.
For how long is emergency data saved on the cloud ?
All emergency data is deleted once it is downloaded by the WachMe Controller.
Are there any charges for cloud usage or software updates?
No, Cloud usage is free for lifetime, software updates are free for lifetime

What is in the welcome kit ?
The welcome kit comes with – WachMe with attached 1 waist strap, 1 wrist band and User Manual.
Is it made in India ?
The customer solution is completely Made in India. Hardware production is currently outsourced.
Is WachMe compatible with iPhones ?
Currently WachMeController only works on Android phones. It will take about an year to work with iPhones

Which SIM card and tariff is most useful with WachMe ?
Monthly pack of Rs 179(Rs 6.4 / day), Quarterly pack of Rs 459 (Rs 5.46/day), Annual pack of Rs 1799 (Rs 4.9 / day) for Airtel & Vi shall work best for monthly / quarterly / annual plans. Tariff should have SMS, calling and data (minimum use). Jio is not supported
