  1. Power off the WachMe device.
  2. Use the SIM tray opener provided in the WachMe box (a white triangular item) to pull out the SIM tray.
  3. Place the nano-SIM into the tray, and push it back into the slot.
  4. Turn on the WachMe to use.

Before inserting the SIM, make sure it has no scratches, no PIN code enabled and that it supports mobile data, SMS, and calls.

No Right now iPhone application is not available. Only Android application is available, and it can be downloaded from Google Play Store. As of today, iPhones cannot be used to setup the WachMe device as we do not have an iOS app yet. It will certainly be developed in future.

Direct cellular and sms messages can be exchanged between iPhone and WachMe. iPhone can be setup as Alternate device and location can be checked via webapp - https://webcontroller.wachme.in/

The WachMeController app is available only for Android users, and it can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Alternatively copy paste this link- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.inogus.WachMeController.

No worries, just put a valid 4G nano SIM card having mobile data enabled, and check again. It may take 1 - 5 minutes (based on internet speed) to reflect the correct license.
If it is still not reflecting, contact our customer care via WachMeController mobile app and we shall update it remotely.
This could sometimes happen due to wrong indexing on selling partner (for example- Amazon, Flipkart) side.

After inserting the SIM card and powering on the WachMe, open the WachMeController app on your Android mobile phone. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the device by entering the WachMe mobile number, IMEI number, and your phone number.

The WachMeController app allows parents or guardians to manage the WachMe devices, monitor the wearer’s location, set up emergency contacts, configure zones and routes, and control various settings like School Mode and Fall Detection.

  • Armed Mode: WachMe actively monitors the wearer’s location, tracks zones/routes, and can detect emergency situations.
  • Disarmed Mode: WachMe functions as a regular smartwatch without continuous tracking or emergency monitoring.

It is recommended to arm the WachMe when the kid is outside home and not with you – at this time he needs to be monitored.

When turned ON set the timings from WachMeController app, School Mode puts WachMe in flight mode for the duration selected for. Hence it would be in completely radio safe zone, and no messages or calls can be received or made during school hours.

If respective setting is turned ON using WachMeController, WachMe would identify most of the emergencies (like: fall, geo fence, route deviations, etc) automatically. Other than these situations, if wearer sees an emergency need, he can generate SOS, by pressing and holding the SOS / Power button for 3-5 seconds.

In case of any emergency (including SOS, fall or any other), WachMe will send an SMS with its location to all the emergency contacts saved on it, and it will start calling them one by one till any one contact talks for at least 1 minute. WachMe also takes periodic images and uploads them on server, once the emergency is cleared, on WachMeController you can download all these images and after that it will be deleted from the server immediately.

You can create, modify, or delete zones and routes from their corresponding pages that is Zone or Route page in the WachMeController app. Zones are basically geo fences help to monitor if the wearer stays within predefined areas; whereas Routes are to monitor that the wearer is approaching to his/her destination or not. If wearer goes out of the active zone (the zone being tracked after arming the WachMe) – it will treat it as a Zone emergency.

Fall Detection is a feature that recognizes if the wearer has fallen and is unable to get up within a minute. If a fall is detected, WachMe will automatically trigger an emergency alert. To avoid false alarms related to fall, we recommend to use WachMe on waist belt or on biceps or anywhere in upright position.

A pin is required to avoid any unauthorized modification on WachMe and so is used for certain security functions on both the app and the WachMe device. By default, last 4 digits of the WachMe mobile number is the pin. It is recommended, that you change the pin time to time. You can reset the PIN from the Manage WachMe page in the WachMeController app. Click on the “Reset WachMe Pin” to change the pin of the selected WachMe (showing the name and number on the top side of the page).

Certain environmental factors can affect GPS accuracy. In an open area with a clear view of the sky, GPS is best. If issues persist, check if the device is relying on mobile network-based location, which may be less accurate.

Speed Dial can be configured through the WachMeController app. You can add contacts one-by-one from the app to populate the speed dial list. Once set, the wearer can quickly call contacts by clicking the image on the Speed Dial page on WachMe.

Yes, WachMe is IP68 water-resistant. It can handle raindrops, sweat and be soaked in still water till 1 meter depth but recommended to be removed before swimming or showering as that contains running water.

The battery life depends on multiple parameters for example- screen on time, usage, the location polling frequency, mobile signal strength etc. It may run up to 1-2 days. It is recommended to charge WachMe daily to ensure it remains functional throughout the day. Set Auto Shutdown time from WachMeController app to save the battery. You will need to turn ON the WachMe in the morning before use.

WachMe supports Indian 4G GSM network frequency, it supports all 2G frequencies. While it may work in other countries with compatible networks, roaming charges may apply, and functionality could be limited. It shall work with 2G network anywhere in the world.

WachMe would automatically download if any firmware updates available, after download it will verbally inform that download completed. Restart WachMe to install the update. After installation finished, click on OPEN to launch the updated firmware.

If WachMe is unresponsive, try restarting the device by holding down the power button for 10-15 seconds. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

The Ring of Fire is a temporary zone that can be created from the WachMeController app. If the wearer exits this zone, an alert will be triggered.

If WachMe is lost, you can track its last known location using the both options – “Status & Location” and “NearByWiFi” of Refresh button on the WachMeController app. If it’s still powered on and connected to mobile network, you may be able to retrieve its current location.

Yes, WachMe allows for making regular voice calls to the numbers that are saved in via WachMeController app. It will auto decline the calls from other numbers.

By default, WachMe is able to make and receive video calls to/from master Controller – for other than master Controller, out of the saved emergency contacts which contact would install WachMeController app and setup with WachMe would be available to make and receive video calls.

Quick call button on WachMe is one-click call button to favorite contact. By default, master/primary contact is set as favorite number. This can be changed from WachMeController app. Goto “WachMe Contact” page and from 3 dots menu (top-right) choose “Favourite Contact” to set the favorite contact for currently logged-in WachMe.

Yes, hardware has Bluetooth. However, Bluetooth features are being developed and are currently not available for use

Yes, this is indeed the usage of WachMe. You can remotely control WachMe through the WachMeController app (Available only for Android – iPhones are not supported yet). You can track locations, make normal voice and video calls, change settings, add/delete contacts, and can do many other things too.

WachMe features a full-color touchscreen display that is easy to read.

Yes, WachMe has a built-in camera. The wearer can take selfies, to set on Watch-Face, or DP of any contact.

If Wi-Fi is setup (can be done from WachMeController app), then clicking on Wi-Fi icon or Wi-Fi name would turn on Wi-Fi (and connect to the one available) for 15 minutes.

The Step Counter feature tracks the wearer’s daily steps.

Yes, for that user need to enter the details in WachMeController, select day and time and watch will be shut down accordingly.

Yes, you can set reminders for tasks, medications, or appointments directly through the WachMeController app. These reminders will alert the wearer by the set time. You can set this by going to the Quick Message. Add message there, if not already present, make a long press (press and hold the text for 3-4 seconds) and set as alarm.

No, for WachMe interface and verbal feedbacks- only English is available, we may add support for different Indian languages later in future. But there is “AI learning” option (powered by Bhashini – part of Digital India program from Ministry of Electronics of India) to learn different Indian languages.

Yes, WachMe allows to change the watch face. Make a long press (press and hold for 3-4 seconds) on free space above the date and time to see a list of stock images, and a camera option (if enabled from the WachMeController app) to click a selfie.

Other option is select “Wallpaper” option in “Display” settings to see the same interface.

Alternatively, you can change the WatchFace from the Home page of WachMeController app, from 3-dots menu select “Update WatchFace” option.

Power Saver Mode, reduces power consumption by limiting functions like GPS polling. You can enable it from the WachMeController app.

User data is most secure as most processing happens on board and no data is sent to any server unless requested by the controller. Remote image and emergency images are briefly stored on the server till they are downloaded by the controller app.

Yes, the WachMeController app allows you to manage multiple WachMe devices. This is ideal for families with more than one kid using WachMe.

You can delete data by using “Clear Cache” option in settings.

WachMe uses satellite GPS, WiFi, and Cellular network for location tracking. However, the accuracy may decrease (larger the number, less the accuracy) indoors or in areas with dense urban structures, and accuracy would increase (up to 1 meter) with a clear view of the sky.

Yes, Geofences can be set up through the Zone page of the WachMeController app. You can define specific circular boundaries, and the app will alert you if the wearer leaves that defined area. For a zone being tracked, its start time should fall between half an hour of Arm time.

  • GPS (Global Positioning System): Provides highly accurate location tracking using satellite signals. Best under clear view of the sky – it could be as accurate as 1 meter
  • LBS (Location-Based Service): Uses mobile network data to approximate the location, which is less accurate (it may go up-to few hundred meters) than GPS but useful when GPS signals are weak.
  • NearByWifi: WachMe also supports indoor location tracking. Within the campus like a mall or a tower in a society apartment, it would be helpful to know the location. By fetching NearByWifi list on Controller app – strongest the wifi signal strength the WachMe is the nearby that Wifi.

No. WachMe is designed with a closed ecosystem for security reasons, so installing third-party apps is not supported.

The Pedometer or Step counter feature can be activated from the Controller app- on the WachMe Settings, turn on the “Activity Monitoring”. You can view step counter icon on WatchFace, tap on that to see the number of steps of the same day.

A: The watch sends instant notifications to the Controller app, if the child deviates from the route. Next it will inform again if kid back on the track. (as of today, WachMe tracks if the kid is approaching to the destination or not – it is not tracking any specific path).

A: No, these features are managed from the master/primary Controller only, even alternate controller could not change these settings. If settings on from the WachMe app, some features like, Airplane mode, silent mode can be start or end from the WachMe itself. The kid would do it as per their need.

A: If Auto-arming setting is ON (can be set from WachMe Settings in Controller app), the watch will automatically arm as soon as it moves out of the home Wi-Fi range and start tracking the zone, route and other safety features based on the features ON from the settings.

A: Yes, from WachMeController app, you can set the start time, duration, and routes according to your needs. License is required for some settings.

A: In general, when the School Mode is in effect, it is not possible to do any activity from the watch. If WachMe is purchased via school then it would behave as per school norms.
